Description
Sir Christopher Wren built St. Bride’s following the destruction of the 12th century church. Evidence of Roman and Saxon building have been discovered. A chapel was built during the 13th century together with a crypt, built in bays with block roof and Reigate stone ribs.
Innovations & Added Value
Tangram’s designs bring this space into use as a chapel. Work included the conservation of the fabric, a new Portland stone floor, altar and seating. The illuminated glass artwork with contemplative and memorial panels was designed by Andrew Moor Associates.
